The Embrace of Community

As those in Lewiston Maine turn to find support within their community following the horrific loss of life they endured yesterday, let us join them in a heart connection that flows beyond the limits of that small town.

From a grounded place within ourselves, we can hold their pain and devastation. We can also hold them in the energy of safety, strength and love.  I do not know the details of what drove this man to act in this way. I certainly do not condone his actions but I do believe that there had to be something deeply disturbed inside of him for him to act out in this way.

Challenging as it may feel at times, I believe that every act of misplaced anger, hatred, and violence is a call for us all to connect more deeply in love.  Our spiritual principles and practices support us in this.

Knowing the Love that we are as God expressing on Earth is where we find the strength and courage to offer love to our hurting world, and ourselves. God as Love is the ultimate source of all loving action and expression.  God as Love, knows no physical boundary, has no political affiliation, and abides by no religion. The Love of God is unwavering and unconditional. This is the depth of the Love from which we all come, and to which we forever belong.

Grounded in that Love we can face our individual and collective pain and transcend our perceived differences with strength and wisdom. We simply must to do this together, united in all that binds and strengthens us, and releasing all that we have come to believe sets us apart from ‘others’.

There is no other.

In the face of all the misconstrued and manipulated information incessantly coming at us, we must stay grounded in our One True Source.  In that Truth, we cannot be divided.

This is the Truth that sets us free, and in that freedom we can release the need to control, oppress and kill each other.
We must lay down our arms, tame our tongues and open our hearts.

 As we affirm each Sunday:
Our God is Love our race is human; our faith is oneness.

May we each have the courage to live into this beyond any and every illusionary boundary.

Our mission is to inspire authentic connection with the Divine, self and others for spiritual growth, healing and loving service to the world.

The ultimate call for us here at Unity of Denver is to be a place were we gather in community for the purpose of growing ourselves and expanding the reach of our oneness. This is the means by which we can heal our hearts and strengthen our connection with God and each other.

Any person sincerely seeking this growth and authentic connection is welcome here.
We meet Sundays at 10 am.
